Shadwell reduces fees for Invasor, Jazil

Glenye Cain Oakford|Oct 18, 2012

Shadwell Farm in Lexington, Ky., will reduce the stud fees for five of its stallions in 2013, with 2006 Horse of the Year Invasor taking a dramatic cut from his advertised 2012 fee of $20,000 to $4,000 next year.

Jazil, the 2006 Belmont Stakes winner, also will stand for $4,000 next year, down from $7,500 in 2012.

Daaher, sire of 2012 graded winner and Test Stakes runner-up Gypsy Robin from his first crop, will stand for $5,000, down from $7,500. Both Intidab and Mustanfar will fall in price from $3,000 to $2,000. The farm will once again offer free seasons to Albertus Maximus for approved mares. The Grade 1 winner’s first foals are due to arrive next year.
