Seven Four Seven takes Fairway Fun Stakes

Seven Four Seven captured her third straight stakes at Turfway Park when getting up in the final strides Saturday to defeat Town Queen by a head in the $50,000 Fairway Fun Stakes.
Seven Four Seven, a 5-year-old mare owned by Sam Pollock, returned $5 after finishing 1 1/16 miles in 1:44.35 over a muddy track. Seven Four Seven captured the Likely Exchange and Wintergreen in her two previous starts.
The victory was the record 42nd of the Turfway winter-spring meet for trainer Bernie Flint, who on Friday surpassed the former mark of 40 set in 1996 by John Parisella. Flint will have won a record 17th Turfway title when the meet ends Thursday.
Jason Lumpkins, who rode Seven Four Seven, also appeared destined to set a record for most wins in a Turfway meet, having drawn to within just a few wins of Kris Prather's 2001 record of 109 for most wins by a jockey at a Turfway meet. After Saturday, four programs still remained in the meet.
