Season Ticket scores as favorite in Wonder Where

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – The favored Season Ticket mounted an effective rally from fifth to notch the $250,800 Wonder Where Stakes, the final leg of the Canadian Triple Tiara at Woodbine on Sunday.
Patrick Husbands rode Season Ticket in her first stakes victory in the 10-furlong turf route. It was his third winner on the card and the fourth in the Wonder Where for trainer Mark Casse, who sent out Lexie Lou to capture the race last year.
“She’s a classy little filly,” said Husbands. “I was very high on her going into this race. Her last breeze was unbelievable. I had some decent fillies that I just had to keep my eyes on, and I had a perfect trip.”
Pengally Bay set moderate fractions while being pressed by Ice Festival. Season Ticket raced about five lengths off the pace along the inside until the top of the stretch, where she commenced a wide bid. She made the lead at the eighth pole en route to a 1 1/2-length score in 2:03.21 over the firm ground.
Ice Festival edged out Pengally Bay for third. Secret Action finished fourth and was followed by Modus Operandi, Dyna’s Recoleta, Brooklynsway, Galina Point, Singwiththebirds, and Shesanaturalblonde.
Season Ticket ($5.80) banked $150,000 for Woodford Racing, which purchased her for $120,000 at the Keeneland September yearling sale.
