'Seabiscuit' up for Golden Globes

The movie "Seabiscuit" was one of five nominees for a Golden Globe in the category of "Best Motion Picture, Drama," it was announced Thursday.

Also nominated in the category were: "Cold Mountain," "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King," "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World," and "Mystic River."

In the "Best Supporting Actor" category, William H. Macy was nominated for his portrayal of the fictional announcer Tick Tock McGlaughlin.

"Seabiscuit," based on Laura Hillenbrand's best seller, was released on DVD this past week.

The 61st annual Golden Globe ceremony will be televised on NBC on Jan. 25. The awards are given by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
