Two legs of the Ohio Sires Stakes are in the books for 2-year-old trotting fillies, and Truly Relentless is two-for- two. Three divisions went to the gate at Eldorado Scioto Downs Thursday (July 28) evening, each carrying a purse of $40,000.

After finishing second in the $150,000 Next Generation, Truly Relentless has rolled off back-to-back wins in the OSS. The 1-2 favorite, with Chris Lems driving, grabbed the lead heading to the half after a 28 3/5 first quarter. The Long Tom filly covered the half in 58 2/5 and three-quarters in 1:28 3/5, and from there, Truly Relentless held off a late charge from Global Girl to win by a length in 1:58 2/5. Rose Run Yanae was third.

Steve Cross trains Truly Relentless, who has two wins in four starts with earnings of $79,375. Truly Relentless is owned by Richard Gutnick, Thomas Pontone, and Joseph Lozito Jr.

Rose Run Yolanda picked up her maiden victory in the first flight. The daughter of Triumphant Caviar was fifth and third-over at the three-quarters when Trevor Smith pulled her three-wide around the final turn. Rose Run Yolanda shot down the middle of the lane, covering the final quarter in 29 4/5 to win by a length in 1:57 3/5. Todd Luther trains the filly for Black Magic Racing. Contechsfashion was second, with A Long Dream finishing third.

In the final split, Swinging Senorita sat fourth through the first half in 59 4/5, but Anthony MacDonald sent the 3-5 favorite first-over down the backstretch, grabbing the lead past three-quarters and pulling away to easily win by four lengths in 1:58 1/5. Victoria Leigh finished second, with Along In Time third.

Jason McGinnis trains the victorious What The Hill filly for Thestable Senorita Group and Hutchison Harness LLC. Swinging Senorita has three wins and two seconds in her five starts and has earned $110,750.

Ohio Sires Stakes action for 2-year-olds continues this weekend, with the colt and gelding trotters taking the track Friday at Eldorado Scioto Downs and colt and gelding pacers heading to MGM Northfield Park Saturday night.
