?q=100)
Rose Run Zoey equaled the track record for a sophomore pacing filly at Eldorado Scioto Downs with a 1:49 4/5 tally in the first of two $65,000 Ohio Sires Stakes events on Saturday night, while Seaside Diva improved to five-for-five in 2024 with a 1:51 tally in the other grouping.
Driven by Tyler Smith, Rose Run Zoey yielded to sit in the pocket behind Wasted On You (Brett Miller) past the 26 1/5 quarter and continued in that spot through a 54 3/5 half and a 1:22 2/5 three-quarters. Wasted On You rebuffed a first-over attack from Daisy's Star (Dan Noble) in the backstretch and put away that foe for good past three-quarters, leaving Wasted On You and Rose Run Zoey to decide it.
Smith swung Rose Run Zoey to the outside midway through the final bend, and after tussling into the lane, Rose Run Zoey forged her way around Wasted On You and went on to score by three-quarters of a length. Wasted On You was second and well clear of No Foolin April (Aaron Merriman) back in the third spot.
A daughter of Lather Up bred by Rose Run Farm, Rose Run Zoey is trained by Ryan Miller for owners Miller Racing Stable Inc. and Let It Ride Stables Inc. Rose Run Zoey has four wins from 11 career starts, has earned $237,330 and paid $3.60 to win as the 4-5 favorite.

In the other section Seaside Diva (Chris Page) brushed from third to first beyond the 26 4/5 quarter and went on to reach the half in 55 3/5. Bad Girls Racing (Noble) then came with a first-over charge out of fourth after the half and battled head-to-head with Seaside Diva through three-quarters in 1:23 1/5.
On the final bend, Seaside Diva dispatched Bad Girls Racing, which left her on a clear lead, and she stayed in front to the wire, defeating a gaining Naked On A Hill (Jeff Nisonger), who kicked home well from third-over, by a length and a quarter. Early leader and 3-5 favorite Bath Bomb (Smith) wound up third.
The victorious Downbytheseaside filly is trained by Ron Burke and is a homebred for Burke Racing Stable LLC., Weaver Bruscemi LLC., Knox Services Inc. and Let It Ride Stables Inc. She has nine victories from 16 lifetime appearances, has pocketed $366,805 and returned $4.60 to win as the 6-5 second choice.
