A pair of daughters of Triumphant Caviar bred by Rose Run Farm - Rose Run Yanae and Rose Run Yolanda - were victorious in the two $55,000 Ohio Sires Stakes contests for sophomore trotting fillies on Friday evening at Scioto Downs.

In the first grouping Chulada (Aaron Merriman) chopped out fractions of 27 1/5, 56 3/5 and 1:25 1/5. Driver Chris Page sent Rose Run Yanae two-wide from fourth on the way to three-quarters and picked up cover when Truly Relentless (Dan Noble) vacated the pocket. Truly Relentless was able to clear Chulada late on the final bend, leaving Rose Run Yanae without cover, but she surged into the lead in mid-stretch regardless and pulled away to win by 2 1/2 lengths in 1:54 2/5. Truly Relentless wound up second and Golden Endeavor (Austin Hanners) was third.

Ron Burke trains Rose Run Yanae for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., Hatfield Stables, Knox Services Inc., Weaver Bruscemi LLC. This was her fifth win from 14 lifetime starts, she has now banked $198,163, and she paid $2.40 to win as the 1-5 favorite.

Merriman was in the lead again in the other split with Swinging Senorita, and she set a tempo of 28, 57 and 1:25 with Contechsfashion (Trevor Smith) going first-up from third past the half, providing cover to Rose Run Yolanda (Brett Miller). Miller sent Rose Run Yolanda three-wide midway through the final bend, she charged past Swinging Senorita in the upper part of the stretch, and despite throwing in some steps after clearing, she held sway for a 1 1/2 length decision in 1:54 2/5. Swinging Senorita staved off Doc's Boo Boo (Jeff Nisonger) for second.

Rose Run Yolanda is trained by Todd Luther for owner Greg Luther Racing LLC. An Ohio Triple Crown winner at 2 (victories in the Ohio State Fair, Breeders Championship and Sire Stakes final), Rose Run Yolanda has a record of 9-3-0 from 12 attempts, pushed her earnings to $393,028, and returned $2.80 to win as the 2-5 choice.
