Scioto: OHHA provides update on May 8 accident

On Saturday morning, the Ohio Harness Horsemen's Association has provided the following updates on the status of the drivers and horses involved in the accident at Eldorado Scioto Downs on Friday night (May 8).
Kayne Kauffman suffered a fractured heel, and Aaron Merriman suffered five broken ribs, a shattered scapula and a partially collapsed lung. He is being kept in the hospital for further observation. David Miller suffered a compound fracture of the ankle and is having surgery.
Tyler Smith and Trevor Smith were evaluated at the hospital and released without any major injuries.

All the horses involved in the accident are OK.
