Scioto: Ocean Rock, Action Uncle top Ohio State Fair champions

The Ohio State Fair events at Scioto Downs wrapped up on Saturday night with one division for 3-year-old males of each gait and a trio of splits for 2-year-old colt and gelding pacers.
Dan Noble guided two winners, steering Ocean Rock to a front-stepping 1:49 win in the $118,000 dash for sophomore colt and gelding pacers for trainer Christi Noble and owner-breeder Sandra Burnett, and bringing home Heart Of Chewbacca in the second of three flights for the rookie pacing males. Heart Of Chewbacca stopped the clock in 1:51 3/5 for trainer Ron Burke and owners Dennis Owens and Norman Rae Racing.
Action Uncle (Brett Miller) improved to five-for-five in 2020 with a 1:52 4/5 win in the $122,000 3-year-old male trot. Action Uncle brushed to the top going to the 56 2/5 half and won by 4 1/4 lengths for trainer Virgil Morgan Jr. and owners Carl Howard, Joyce McClelland, and Larry Wills.
He's A Dickens (Trevor Smith) rallied up the passing lane from sixth and won the first 2-year-old colt and gelding pace in 1:54 3/5 at odds of 69-1. Kris Hinchcliff trains the winner for owner Elliot Misshula. Home Team (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.), co-owned and bred by James McLaughlin and Gabe Prewitt, broke his maiden in the last rookie male pace, leading all the way and halting the timer in 1:54 2/5. Brian Brown is the trainer of Home Team.
