Scioto: No catching Gabbys C Note in Ohio Sires Stakes

Gabbys C Note controlled the proceedings on the front-end and was a 1:55 1/5 winner in the lone $75,000 Ohio Sires Stakes event for 3-year-old trotting fillies that took place on Friday evening at Scioto Downs.
Driver Aaron Merriman sent Gabbys C Note out quickly from post four and got by Criquette Hall (Chris Page) to take over the top spot before the 27 1/5 opening quarter. From there, Gabbys C Note was unchallenged, got away with soft middle-half fractions of 57 1/5 and 1:26 3/5, and then sprinted home in 28 3/5 to defeat Criquette Hall by a length and three-quarters. Kirsi Dream (Chris Lems) held third over a closing Favorite Aunt (Tony Hall).
