Dream Something and Rose Run Allison brought home top honors from a pair of $65,000 Ohio Sires Stakes groupings for rookie trotting fillies that took place on Saturday night at Eldorado Scioto Downs.
After first Brink Street (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.), then Freedom Hill (Dave Palone) and finally Aunt Laura (Brett Miller) put up fractions of 28 1/5, 57 and 1:25 2/5 in the first split, Dream Something (Tyler Smith), who raced in seventh for the first three-quarters of the mile, fanned out three- and four-wide on the final bend and was able to chase down Aunt Laura in the shadow of the wire, prevailing by a neck in 1:55 4/5. Mega Money (Trevor Smith) was third.
A daughter of Uncle Peter bred by Johanna Beaver, Michael Carter and Mary McLoughlin, Dream Something is co-owned by trainer Miles Wollam with partners Julie Ann and Dale Sweet. Dream Something has a summary of 3-1-0 from five outings, has earned $79,633 and paid $16.00 to win as a 7-1 offering.

In the other flight, Rose Run Allison (Dan Noble) trotted two-wide to the point beyond the 29 2/5 quarter and then yielded to fellow Ron Burke trainee Mocha Hill (Wrenn Jr.) coming to the 59 1/5 half. Mocha Hill continued on the engine through three-quarters in 1:28 and around the last turn while giving the cold shoulder to a first-over Move Over Boys (Matthew Brown), but when Move Over Boys faded, that gave Rose Run Allison a chance to get to the outside. Once she had space, Rose Run Allison charged back around Mocha Hill and then went on to deliver by a length and a quarter in 1:57. Mocha Hill held second from Aunt Lilly (Smith).
By Long Tom, Rose Run Allison was bred by Rose Run Farm and is trained by Burke for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., Hatfield Stables, Knox Services Inc. and Beasty LLC. She has three wins, a second and a third in five starts, sent her bankroll to $115,667 and returned $6.40 to win as the 2-1 second choice.
