Scioto: Draw Schedule for Breeders Crown Eliminations Weekend

Following an unprecedented 91-day regular summer season at Eldorado Scioto Downs, the south Columbus (Ohio) oval is gearing up for two exciting Breeders Crown weekends. Local horsemen are reminded that there will be no racing at Dayton October 16, 17, 23 and 24, so those interested in racing are encouraged to check the Scioto condition sheet to enter overnight horses.

For horsemen looking to supplement their 3-year-olds and aged horses to the Breeders Crown, supplements are due by 12:00 noon (EDT) on Monday (Oct. 12). More detailed information regarding supplements can be found here.

Breeders Crown eliminations will be held Friday & Saturday (October 16-17), with the finals on October 23-24.

There will be a double draw for eliminations weekend, with the box closing at 10:30 a.m. (EDT) on Tuesday (October 13) for both nights. Friday overnight events include classes for NW11501L4 and up, including $30,000 Opens, for filly pacers and trotters; Saturday overnights include the NW11501L4 class and up, including the Open, for male pacers, as well as a 3-year-old open, Ohio-sired preferred, event going for $30,000.

The board will clear for both elimination days on Wednesday (October 14) by 11:30 a.m. (EDT).

More details about racing for the next two weekends can be found on the Scioto Downs website. Seating reservations are available on Open Table and include patio tables near the clubhouse and the beer garden on the north end of the grandstand. Live racing starts at 6:00 p.m. (EDT) each day.

Finals weekend tickets currently available at time of release:

-Beer garden tickets (select the 4pm seating time) are $65 and include a live band, $10 concessions voucher, promotional gift bag and race program.

-Patio tables (for 6 people are $250 and include a $10 concession voucher and race program for each seat at the table.

-There are limited box seats available for Friday (Oct. 23) for $55 and include a padded seat with drink rail, $10 concessions voucher and race program.

Elimination weekend reservations currently available at time of release:

-Clubhouse seating for Friday (Oct. 16)

-Clubhouse seating is currently sold out for October 17, 23 & 24.

Regular grandstand seating is open seating for both weekends at no charge and the beer garden tent will be open for anyone attending the races on eliminations weekend.
