Scioto Downs: Two-year-old trotters battle the elements in Ohio Sires Stakes

It was a good night at the office for trainers Chris Beaver and Kimberly Dailey as they both had multiple victories in Ohio Sires Stakes events for 2-year-old trotters of both sexes on a soggy Friday night at Scioto Downs.
Beaver had three winners, teaming up with driver Ronnie Wrenn Jr. to win with filly Aunt Rose (Uncle Peter, 1:59) and gelding Never Say Uncle (Uncle Peter, 1:58 4/5), and partnering with driver Aaron Merriman to tally with filly Pure Chance (Triumphant Caviar, 1:59 2/5). Beaver swept the exacta in that one as he also had runner-up Stone In Love, who was driven by Chris Page.
Dailey joined forces with driver Dan Noble for both her winners. They struck in the opener with Ilooklikemymom gelding Ilooklikeanallstar (1:58 1/5) and came back later with Winbak Yankee colt Yankees Image (1:57 4/5).
Yes, by Manofmanymissions, and Lane Of Stone, by Wishing Stone, won the other colt divisions. Yes was driven to a 1:59 2/5 win by Anthony MacDonald for trainer Jason McGinnis, and Lane Of Stone, who is now four-for-four in his career, was steered to a 1:58 2/5 victory by Jeff Nisonger for trainer Mark Winters Sr.
Aaron Merriman won another filly split with Only Take Cash, by Cash Hall, who stopped the clock in 1:57 1/5 for trainer/co-owner Bob McIntosh, and Feel Invincible As, by Broadway Hall, rounded out the winners, taking the nightcap in 1:58 1/5 for driver Elliott Deaton and trainer Anette Lorentzon.
