Scioto Downs: Brown, Wrenn Jr. triple in Ohio State Fair events

Trainer Brian Brown and driver Ronnie Wrenn Jr. both enjoyed successful nights in Ohio State Fair action for 2-year-old colts on Saturday night at Scioto Downs, both posting three victories.
Brown and Wrenn Jr. joined forces for a pair of wins with pacers as Rock Candy won the opening $36,800 division in 1:53 2/5 as the 4-5 choice, and they were back for another photo after High On Paydaze bagged the third flight in 1:54 flat.
Driver Ryan Stahl, who had won an Ohio State Fair trot tilt earlier on the program with Steve Carter-trained Homer Hall in 1:58 3/5, provided Brown with his third winner as he steered Tony Too Tall to a 1:54 win in the final section for pacing colts. As for Wrenn Jr., his third win came courtesy of trotter Cumberland Gap, who annexed his $37,100 event in 1:57 1/5 for trainer Renee Bauslaugh.
The only horse able to break the Brown stranglehold on the pacing side of the ledger was Rose Run Ulysses, who stopped the clock in 1:53 3/5 for driver Dan Noble and trainer Kimberly Dailey. The other trot winners for the night were Oh So Pine, who tallied in 1:57 3/5 for driver Anthony MacDonald and trainer Jason McGinnis, and Dylan The Great, who prevailed in 1:58 4/5 for driver Chris Page and trainer Ron Burke.
