Scheen will fill a position that has been vacant since the former executive director, Billy Badgett, returned to The Stronach Group as the company’s executive director of Florida operations in March. Scheen will start in his new position on June 12, the FHBPA said.
A native of Louisville, Ky., whose father owned Thoroughbreds, Scheen has been a racing official for most of his life. He currently resides in Ft. Lauderdale.
