Saythreehailmary's goes for third straight in Biogio's Rose

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Saythreehailmary’s will seek her third consecutive stakes victory when she heads a field of six New York-bred fillies and mares entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Biogio’s Rose Stakes at 1 1/16 miles.
Saythreehailmary’s, the 121-pound co-highweight, drew post 2. She is coming off wins in the Bay Ridge for New York-breds here in December and the open Ladies Handicap here in January.
“The one negative is we’re going to have to pick up weight here, but that’s a sign of success,” said John Morrison, who trains Saythreehailmary’s. “That’s a concern. We’ll see what happens. It might be a step down from an open race, but I think it’s just as competitive as the Ladies.”
While she’s recently defeated Biogio’s Rose rivals Sheriffa and Storied Lady, Saythreehailmary’s will face some new faces in Perfect Freud, In Spite of Mama, and Jc’s Shooting Star.
The Biogio’s Rose will go as race 4 on a nine-race program.
◗ For the second straight day, the $100,000 Fred “Cappy” Capossela Stakes did not draw enough entries to be carded Sunday. It will be brought back for next Sunday, and entries will be taken Thursday.
