Saxet Heights brings sharp form

Saxet Heights, Beware of the Bop, and Julie B - a trio of fillies and mares who have collected a remarkable 32 victories at Charles Town - clash in the $50,000 My Sister Pearl Stakes at 1 1/8 miles.

A year ago in this same race, Julie B defeated Saxet Heights by 1 1/2 lengths for her 14th lifetime victory in a career in which she has won 15 of 29 races and $865,998. But at age 6, Julie B appears to have lost several steps. In her only two start since May, Julie B hasn't finished closer to the winner than 7 1/4 lengths.

The 3-year-old Beware of the Bop is 8 for 10 this season and 9 for 14 lifetime. But she has been off since late September and will be racing beyond seven furlongs for the first time.

The sharpest recent form belongs to Saxet Heights, a 4-year-old who is 8 for 12 locally. She has 3 wins and 2 seconds in her last 5 starts, including a dominant win that produced a career-best 84 Beyer Speed Figure in her last start on Oct. 31.
