* Don't Countess Out ($10.80) rallied from just off the pace, then drew off to a three-length victory in the $75,000 Weekend Delight Stakes at Turfway Park.

* Redoubled Miss ($5.80) outgamed Stormy Frolic by a head following a stretch-long battle in the $50,000 Judy's Red Shoes Stakes at Calder.

* Trainer Duane Hartsell swept both closing night Quarter Horse stakes at Sam Houston Race Park when he sent out Shiney Sign ($8) to win the Grade 1, $314,500 Sam Houston Futurity, and Spark a Fortune ($34) to win the Grade 2, $95,700 Sam Houston Derby.
