* Ihla Grande ($45) unleashed a strong late kick, catching favored Lindsay Jean near the wire to win the $60,950 Hillsborough Handicap by a head at Bay Meadows on Sunday.

* In Saturday's Hastings feature, Raylene, ($6) got up in the final strides to nip odds-on favorite Dancewithavixen to win the $169,612 British Columbia Breeders' Cup Oaks by a neck.

* Delaware Park, still feeling the impact of Hurricane Isabel, postponed the $200,000 Caesar Rodney Handicap and will run 1 1/8-mile turf race on Sept. 27.
