* Cat Singer ($3.80) took advantage of a quick early pace and rallied for a 2 1/2-length victory in the $40,000 Edward Babst Memorial Handicap for Ohio-breds at Beulah Park.
* The Straw Man ($7) reversed the outcome of his first two meetings with Cork the Barber when he scored an authoritative five-length win in the $30,950 colts and geldings division of the Fonner Park Special Stakes for 3-year-old Nebraska-breds.
