Saturday stakes recaps (12/3/05)

* Thrilling Victory ($6.20) lived up to her name, making up 7 1/2 lengths in the final quarter-mile to edge favored Lunachick by a nose in the $59,050 Angel Island Stakes at Golden Gate Fields.

* Day Trader ($10.40) jumped right out to the lead under Clifton Berry and never looked back, posting a wire-to-wire score in the $50,000 KLAQ at Sunland Park.

* Restride ($6.20) moved to the head of the class among Arizona-bred 2-year-old fillies after rallying nicely to win the $49,454 Arizona Breeders' Futurity (filly division), and Levelled ($28) posted a 13-1 upset in the $51,580 boys division later on the card at Turf Paradise.

* Dreamsandvisions ($5) secured the lead in the stretch and rolled to a 2 3/4-length victory over favorite Leaving on My Mind in the $40,000 Conroe at seven furlongs at Sam Houston Race Park.
