Saturday stakes recaps (04/24/04)

* He Loves Me ($6.40) outdueled previously unbeaten Plata in the stretch to earn a three-quarter-length victory in the $75,000 Caesar's Wish Stakes for Maryland-bred 3-year-old fillies at Pimlico.

* Surf N Sand ($6.20) won for the seventh time in 10 starts when she rallied to take the lead approaching the stretch and drew off by 2 1/2 lengths in the $50,000 Prairie Rose at Prairie Meadows.

* Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk ($6.20) closed along the inside under jockey Dino Luciani to win his stakes debut in the $137,375 Woodstock, a six-furlong sprint for 3-year-olds at Woodbine.

* Gabrieles Princess ($11.60) gained the lead in midstretch and drew off to a 1 1/4-length win in the $40,000 Angenora Stakes, a six-furlong race at Thistledown. Owner Frank Regalbuto and trainer Rodrigo Madrigal Sr. also won the race last year with with Alison's Winner.
