SPOT PLAYS AND LIVE LONGSHOTS

Saratoga Race 3, (2:07 ET)

WINDSWEPT (#2, 2-1) This Klein homebred really came motoring home on closing day of the CD meet, and it seems like he's ready to put everything together as he starts moving up the class ladder. Has a couple of mojo things going for him, including the fact the barn is ready to unleash Wise Dan again this weekend; plus, with Colony Strike (Rosario, TAP) alongside, he might not even be favored despite the likelihood of a great inside trip under Lezcano. We'll take what they'll give us. – Marty McGee

Saratoga Race 4, (2:39 ET)

BUSTLE (#9, 6/1) has good overall turf form which is a little buried by a pair of less than ideal trips down at Gulfstream and then getting stuck on a wide chase vs. better at Delaware last time; fits well here based on her demolition of restricted claimers two back. - Mike Beer

Saratoga Race 5, (3:11 ET)

BLUEGRASS FLASH (#5, 3-1) Comes off what may be his best work yet in preparation for bow for barn which sent out first time starter Belly of the Whale to win his career debut over turf on Wednesday. - Mike Welsch

Saratoga Race 6, (3:43 ET)

PRADO CAT (#5, 6-1) was well off the board when last seen but that was against a very deep field in the American Turf at Churchill; the layoff combined with the drop into a claimer can be construed as a negative but the works suggest he's fit. – Kenny Peck

Saratoga Race 6, (3:43 ET)

KANTURK KID (#2, 6-1) likely didn't show his best last out due to breaking thru gate before the start; prior was good effort where he was ready to roll before being shut off on hedge. Lezcano 6-26 for trainer with average $15.50 mutuel adds to the appeal. - Chuck Kuehhas

Saratoga Race 8, (4:49 ET)

GOLDEN GALAXY (#6, 5-1) In new hands off the claim, galloped out extremely well at the end of her most recent work. May not look back with this group. - Mike Welsch

Saratoga Race 10, (5:54 ET) - LIVE LONGSHOT

ALWAYSINMYCIRCLE (#7, 8-1) She makes her third start of the year following a much-improved effort, and adds blinkers for the return to Saratoga, where she notched a maiden victory last year. - Dave Litfin

VULNERABLE FAVORITES

Saratoga Race 6, (3:43 ET)

YO BLUE (#6, 4-1)

Tepid Morning Line favorite makes his first start off the claim for Maker and the Ramseys, which alone could make him shorter than his listed price of 4-1, but he also doesn't figure to get the same kind of trip he got last time, when he shook loose through a painfully slow initial quarter. - Kenny Peck
