Some bettors are sure to discount HOGY (#8, 9-2), who invades New York after a promising summer in Chicago, where he won the Grade 3 Hanshin at a mile in fast time and then was a near-miss second in the Arlington Sprint going today's distance of 5 1/2 furlongs on turf. If he had not broken a smidge slowly that day, he very well could have entered this race off a two-race win streak. Key him first and second in exactas and tris with a pair of third-off-layoff runners in STRONG IMPACT (#7, 7-2) and VARSITY (#2, 4-1) – two accomplished turf sprinters. Let's take a stand against favored GREAT MILLS (#4, 3-1) by limiting him to third in Tri. He hasn't run since January, likely putting him at a fitness disadvantage. Suggest of a tri part-wheel of 8 with 2/7 with 2/4/7, and another of 2/7 with 8 with 2/4/7.
