Saratoga Snacks moves into Mott's barn

Saratoga Snacks, the multiple stakes-winning New York-bred, was transferred by owner Bill Parcells from Gary Sciacca to Bill Mott. Parcells also placed an unraced younger full brother of Saratoga Snacks, Baby Snacks, with Mott.
Parcells and Sciacca have been friends for two decades, and Parcells politely declined to discuss why he moved the horse, saying only, “Everything will be fine. He’s been a good friend. I wish him well.”
Sciacca said he was stunned by the development and didn’t understand why the horse was moved but said he still hopes to remain friends with Parcells.
“I feel terrible I don’t have the horse anymore,” Sciacca said. “I still consider him a good friend. He’s taken me places I’ve never been before.”
Sciacca was a guest of Parcells last year when the coach was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
“I sat at the family table at the dinner the night before,” Sciacca said.
Saratoga Snacks, a son of Tale of the Cat, has won 7 of 12 starts, including the Empire Classic last summer. He has not started since finishing second to Zivo in an overnight stakes at Aqueduct in January. He returned to the work tab July 11 at Belmont Park.
