SARATOGA PICK 4 (RACES 2-5)

Race 2

Key's - Blue Collar Cat, Tapidor, Groupthink

B's - Sol the Freud

C's - None

Board will tell more in this first leg so be prepared to adjust accordingly, but for now will key on the one with experience, BLUE COLLAR CAT, along with the pair of expensive and well-connected firsters TAPIDOR and GROUPTHINK; keep an eye on SOL THE FREUD, an interesting first time starter who attracted a top rider.

Race 3

Key's - Bird House, Fiftyfour Forever, Notesfromabroad

B's - Bit Bustin, Polan

C's - Madame Prosecutor, Sweet Maxine

Taking coverage in what I thought was a difficult race, but since I'm not thrilled with two of the shorter prices on the morning line (BIT BUSTIN and POLAN) I'm making them B's, and keying against them.

Race 4

Key's - Rosalie's Pleasure

B's - Stock Fund, Scribbling Sarah

C's - Utopian Wife, Pie's First Lady

Making ROSALIE'S PLEASURE the key to this early Pick 4, as I think she's better than she may look on paper, and is going to offer value, especially in multi-race wagers. If she needs one of the bench, or just isn't good enough, will backup with logical horses.

Race 5

Key's - Mavourneen, Sapphire Blue, Giant’s Jewel

B's - NONE

C's - NONE

Would be happy to get alive to the key's here, MAVOURNEEN (out of a dam who was a turf winner at Saratoga for these connections, and just missed in the Waya Stakes a few years ago), SAPPHIRE BLUE (would have won last time with a cleaner trip) and dropper GIANT'S JEWEL (been in some tough spots and did a lot of racing in good field last time).
