SARATOGA PICK 3 (RACES 8-10)

8TH RACE

A's - 5

Expecting a big effort from TABREED, who was most impressive in winning that last one at Monmouth, and the next-out score by White Rose upon shipping to Saratoga seemed to verify the strength of that race. Using the logical horses underneath but TABREED is the right value play and a solid "A".

B's - 2, 3, 6

C's - None

9TH RACE

A's - 8

B's - 5

C's - 2, 4

ASSURED is the right one to key here, as she's going to be very tough if she runs back to that maiden score, and the recent works say she will. Using FINESSE as a "B" rather than a "C" only because she seems capable of stealing it if she shakes loose.

10TH RACE

A's - 1, 4, 9

B's - 5, 10

C's - 6, 7

Perhaps the most wide-open of the legs in this particular sequence. It does, however, seem that the rank outsiders are up against it, so rather than use them all I'll press with the top contenders as "A" plays and use the others in lesser strength. That includes WELLSPRING LEGACY, though she could be overbet despite inexperience at the distance. Using her only defensively.
