A’s Financial Mogul, Strong Mandate

B’s Pecorino, Closet E

C’s Grand Arrival

STRONG MANDATE (#5, 8-1) worked :59 and change before leaving Kentucky while FINANCIAL MOGUL (#8, 7-2) exits a bullet work of his own downstate for barn which typically has its 2-year-olds geared for success first out at the Spa. Pletcher’s Pecorino obviously dangerous but must overcome tough post for a beginner. Closet E and Grand Arrival also working well for their debuts.

2nd Race

A’s Whomping, Willow Super Sky

B’s Ainteasybeinggreen, Duff One

WHOMPING WILLOW (#4, 8-1) may be worth singling after catching killers in each of her first two starts both of whom dead heated for win here opening day in the Schuylerville. Took to turf well in recent drill at Oklahoma. SUPER SKY (#7, 4-1) looked sharp working on turf for her debut for top barn. Duff One showed big speed on the grass in her last work, could be a bit of a sleeper.

3rd Race

A’s Seans Silverdancer

B’s Full Intent, World Premier

SEANS SILVERDANCER (#9, 5-2) drops to the bottom after showing good speed vs. better in Kentucky, should not look back at this level.
