Saratoga internet plays for Thursday

Evidently, Hunter's Tale liked being with Leah Gyarmati a lot better than he likes being with Joe Imperio, because he ran just abysmally first time off the claim and burned up our $50 bankroll on Wednesday.

I'd actually rather lose that way than in a head-bobbing photo, so we'll just shrug it off and move on to Thursday. The weather forecast is iffy, so we're going to stay away from the five grass races (including the steeplechase opener).

RACE 2

There is no obvious pacesetter in this field of seven restricted claiming sprinters, but Eye for Style drops out of a race against open $35,000 stock just eight days ago, and his recent pace figures indicate he may be the one to catch. By the potent wet-track sire Carson City, Eye for Style is likely to move up if there is moisture in the surface, and he is ideally drawn toward the outside in this long sprint out of the chute. Best of all, he is listed at 8-1 on the morning line.

The bet: $34 to win on Eye for Style. Also a $4 exacta part-wheel keying him under Wood Winner, Belknap County, Prideland and Nimble Wit.
