Saratoga Harness: Twin B Joe Fresh swiftest in NY Sire Stakes

Coming off a victory in the Tompkins-Geers Grand Circuit event at the Meadowlands in her career debut, Twin B Joe Fresh backed that up with a 1:54 3/5 win in the third of three $51,300 New York Sire Stakes divisions for rookie pacing fillies on Monday at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
Jason Bartlett floated Twin B Joe Fresh out from post five and then accelerated on the outside to grab the top spot from Alabama Hannah (Tyler Buter) beyond the 28 second opening quarter. Twin B Joe Fresh stole soft fractions of 58 and 1:27 after that, then sprinted home in 27 3/5 to grab a 3 1/4 length decision. Alabama Hannah held second from Kissin Joe (Mark MacDonald).
Twin B Joe Fresh, a Roll With Joe Filly bred by Brittany Farms, is trained by Chris Ryder, and he also shares ownership of her with Dexter Dunn, Peter Trebotica, and Barry Spak. Acquired for $65,000 at the 2021 Standardbred Horse Sale, she has put away $49,637 to go with her two-for-two record, and she returned $2.20 to win as the 1-9 favorite.
Back in the opening flight, Hunting Season (MacDonald) led through fractions of 28 1/5, 58 1/5, and 1:27 2/5 on her way to a 1:55 1/5 victory. Hunting Lindy (Bartlett) tested the eventual winner from first-up on the last turn but had to settle for second, 3 1/4 lengths behind, and Rock My Socks (Matt Kakaley) checked in third.
A daughter of Huntsville, Hunting Season was bred and is owned by trainer Ray Schnittker in partnership with Mary Kinsey-Arnold and Steven Arnold. Hunting Season picked up her second win in her third start, has now earned $33,190, and paid $7.10 to win as the 5-2 second choice.
The last grouping saw Vivians Dream (Wally Hennessey), who tallied in track record time in the sire stakes leg at Buffalo Raceway, score in 1:54 4/5. She pressed on two-wide to take over the lead from Bama Breeze (Marcus Miller) just past the 28 4/5 opening quarter, backed down the middle-half to 58 1/5 and 1:26 2/5, and drew off in a 28 2/5 final kicker, prevailing by 5 1/2 lengths over Bama Breeze. American Crispin (Kakaley) grabbed third.
