Saratoga Harness: Odds On Monetary, Surreal Spirit tally in NYSS
The New York Sire Stakes circuit went to Saratoga Casino Hotel on Tuesday afternoon for a pair of tilts for 2-year-old pacing fillies.
Odds On Monetary (Matt Kakaley) went right to the point from post one and led through fractions of 28, 58 3/5 and 1:27 4/5 in the first $77,300 division. Miss Genie Mae (Braxten Boyd) broke from first-over late on the third turn, and then pocket-sitter and favorite Liberty Style (Jason Bartlett) popped to the outside before three-quarters, but she wasn't any match for Odds On Monetary, who closed in 28 3/5 to widen and win by two lengths in 1:56 2/5. Savage Cindy (Wally Hennessey) finished second and Existential (Leon Bailey) checked in third.
A daughter of Huntsville bred by Crawford Farms, Odds On Monetary is trained by Travis Alexander for owner Odds On Racing. She has two wins and two seconds from four starts, has earned $99,750 and paid $13.40 to win.

American Cheese kept control around the last turn and turned for home first, but Surreal Spirit continued to gain on the outside and was able to get by the pace-setter late, tallying by a neck in 1:54 3/5. Ideal Beauty Queen (Hennessey) collected third.
