Saratoga Harness: Close finishes in NY Sire Stakes races

A nose, a neck, and a head were the margins of victory for the winners in three $58,000 New York Sire Stakes divisions for 3-year-old pacing colts and geldings on Sunday afternoon at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
In the first flight Huntanover (Tyler Buter) shot through from post one to the point and put up opening-half fractions of 26 3/5 and 56. Twin B Deluxe (Jason Bartlett) then got going first-over out of third past the half, and he forged his way to a narrow advantage over Huntanover before the 1:24 1/5 three-quarters.
Twin B Deluxe kept the lead on the rim around the last turn and into the lane, then held off a rally by second-over Bounty Hunter (Jim Devaux) to prevail by a nostril in 1:53. JD (Mark MacDonald), last year's sire stakes champion for this group, finished third.
Andrew Harris trains Twin B Deluxe, an American Ideal gelding bred by Twinbrook Limited, and also co-owns him with Michael Goldberg Racing LLC. This was Twin B Deluxe's fourth win from ten career starts, he has now earned $61,310, and he paid $7.10 to win as the 5-2 second choice.
The next split saw Hazeville (Scott Zeron) lead his six foes through stations of 27 4/5, 57, and 1:25, and he dug in gamely through the stretch to fend off a bid by pocket-sitter Flip My Chip (Marcus Miller), defeating that foe by a neck in 1:53 2/5. Letmecallyouback (Bartlett) sat on the cones in the three-hole and wound up third.
Hazeville is a Huntsville gelding trained by John McDermott for co-owner/breeder Eric Taddeo and partners Jonathan Klee Racing, William Garofalo, and Rosemarie Sienicki. Hazeville has compiled a record of 3-1-1 from six trips behind the gate, he has now pocketed $48,510, and he returned $7.00 to win as the 5-2 second choice.

Syracuse Express (MacDonald) led the way through fractions of 27 1/5, 56, and 1:24 2/5 in the final section, but 1-9 favorite Pleaseletmeknow (Matt Kakaley), who had gone first-over out of fourth approaching the half, had moved into second at three-quarters. A sire stakes winner at Buffalo on June 1, Pleaseletmeknow sustained his bid around the final turn, overtook Syracuse Express for good late on the bend, and then opened up a gap on the others.
Pleaseletmeknow needed almost all of that advantage he built up, as Roll With The Flow (Bartlett) was charging hard after going widest from third-over, but he would run out of racetrack, with Pleaseletmeknow tallying by a head in 1:53. Gone Before Dawn (Miller) was third.
Another gelded son of American Ideal, Pleaseletmeknow is trained by Travis Alexander for owner/breeder Fiddler's Creek Stables LLC. Pleaseletmeknow made his sixth appearance in the winner's circle, has pushed his bankroll to $203,972, and he paid $2.30 to win.
