Saratoga: Get Stormy recuperating well
Barbara D. Livingston Get Stormy missed the Fourstardave because of a tendon injury.
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - That sigh of relief heard around the barn area over the weekend came from trainer Tom Bush, who reports that his multiple Grade 1 winner Get Stormy appears to be recuperating nicely after suffering a minor tendon injury last week that kept him out of Sunday's Grade 2 Fourstardave.
"I think we're in pretty good shape with him," said Bush. "We re-ultrasounded the area after the medication wore off, and his tendon was well within the normal parameters. Overall, it was a pretty good report. We'll be on the conservative side for a few days, then tack-walk and jog him and if everything goes perfectly I wouldn't rule out the Bernard Baruch."
The Grade 2 Bernard Baruch will be run on Aug. 26.
