SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Flashy Lassie, upset winner of the Grade 3 Debutante at Churchill Downs, heads a nine-horse field of 2-year-old fillies entered in the Schuylerville at six furlongs. [UPDATE: Flashy Lassie to scratch from Schuylerville]

Flashy Lassie, a daughter of Flashy Bull owned by Barry King and trained by Garry Simms, won a $20,000 maiden claimer by nine lengths before rallying from well off the pace to take the Debutante at 17-1 by one length over Five Star Momma who also is in this field.

Trainer Todd Pletcher seeks a fourth victory in the Grade 3 Schuylerville when he sends out debut winner Georgie’s Angel, a daughter of Bellamy Road who won a 4 1/2-furlong maiden race at Churchill Downs by 6 1/4 lengths on July 4, earning an 83 Beyer Speed Figure in the process.

“We expected her to run well, she trained good all summer, she ran ever better than we thought she would,” said Pletcher, who trains the filly for Sheffer Racing Stable. “We’re hoping it’s enough turnaround time for her to come back with a similar effort.”

The field, from the rail out, is: Force de La Nature, Five Star Momma, Dororthy’s Aurora, True Feelings, Alydarla, Gypsy Robin, Vukovar, Flashy Lassie, Georgie’s Angel.
