Santa Anita pick six has carryover of $796,177
The 20-cent pick six at Santa Anita begins Sunday with a carryover of $796,177 and a mandatory payout on the final day of the track’s autumn meeting.
The bet is paid in full only if there is a single winning ticket, or on a day with a mandatory payout. There has been no single ticket winner since the 16-day season began on Oct. 1. Sunday is the only day of the brief season with a mandatory payout.
Track officials expect the pool of new money to approach $5 million.
The pick six covers the fifth through 10th races on a program that begins at 12:30 p.m. Pacific.
The pick six races have fields of 11, 10, 7, 11, 9 and 10. The final race in the sequence is a competitive running of the Grade 2 Twilight Derby at 1 1/8 miles.
