Santa Anita: Jackpot pick six carryover reaches $271,260

ARCADIA, Calif. - On a day with three winning favorites and one longshot at Santa Anita, the pick six paid $16,715 on Thursday, leaving a carryover of $271,260 for the single ticket jackpot pool on Friday.


The single ticket pool has not been hit since May 4.


The only surprise winner occurred in the last race when Pacific Coast Hwy ($52.80) won a maiden claimer on turf.


There were three winning favorites in Thursday’s pick six races. The winners were Te Amo Mamo ($4), Avicii ($5.80), Sheza Firstsamurai ($3.80), Wrightwood ($11.80), Gigantis ($3.60) and Pacific Coast Hwy. Te Amo Mamo, Sheza Firstsamurai and Gigantis were favored. Avicii was the second choice.


Consolation ticket with five winners on Thursday were worth $45.


Thursday’s pick six began with a carryover of $253,350 in the single ticket jackpot pool. The pool of new money in the pick six pool reached $156,443.
Friday’s pick six covers the third through eighth races on a program that begins at 1 p.m., Pacific.
