A premature move at the three-eighths pole sealed the fate of this $12,500 restricted claiming horse. His rider pulled the trigger early, and the horse lost ground through the far turn and flattened out. Hess claimed him from Doug O’Neill.

This maiden-20 showed surprising speed second out, cleared, set realistic fractions, and romped. Owned, bred, and trained by Headley, she can show up next at just about any level, from bottom claiming to starter allowance.
