Spot PlayMONEY CANNON (#2, 5-2) crushed lower-level 3yo claimers three weeks ago in highly rated fashion, and jumps in class in peak form. His last-start number (87 Beyer) is fast enough for this; he has won at this seven-furlong distance. Low-odds overlay. -Brad Free

Spot PlayMY LOOLOO (#3, 10-1) looks a lot like a horse who is going to benefit from the addition of blinkers, & tho 8th last out, that was not a bad grass/2-turn debut. Lotsa works since then & like chances for improvement closing into solid pace.- Marcus Hersh Closer Looks >> |

Vulnerable FavoriteDOLPHIN SHORTS (#1, 8-5) looks pretty darn tough as he comes off 2 decent efforts for twice this tag so the drop may be crucial. That being said, he figures to be a short price despite having never raced on dirt, and while his 2 September efforts for twice this tag weren’t bad note he lost ground from the furlong pole to the wire in each so it’s not as if he comes here with some big margin for error. -Michael Hammersly
