Vulnerable FavoriteSPRING MOON (#2, 6-5) benefitted from a slow pace winning her debut by open lengths with a 70 Beyer. The pace scenario of this sprint stakes is vastly different from her only start. -Brad Free
Spot PlayImproved workouts on dirt by BAJAN (#4, 2-1), and a drop in class, give the 2-year-old filly a big look as the second betting choice in the $70k Anoakia Stakes. -Brad Free

Spot PlayA return to the downhill course could produce an odds-beating effort by maiden CRAVIN’ THE HEAT (#5, 15-1). She ran well on the hill in March; her trainer-jockey combo has a history of upsets. -Brad Free
Spot PlayMAJESTIC MINISTER (#2, 6-1) was a sharp 3rd on this course when last seen March 31 and while that kind of layoff may be scary to some trainer Puype is superb off the bench. That run also showed this gal handles this course and footing, and remember, too, she had the worst of the draw (far outside post 11) and balked loading so things didn’t go according to plan – and she still almost won. Worked well for this, is drawn inside and looks well situated to get her diploma. -Michael Hammersly
Spot PlayOutfit has done well this year shipping horses out of Arlington to SoCal. ONE TIME ONLY (#4, 6-1) had 3-wide trip in debut over Polytrack generally biased meet-long toward inside paths. Pricey auction buy bred to move up on turf.- Marcus Hersh Closer Looks >> |
