Spot PlayLOVE TALE (#10, 4-1) won the March Madness over this course, which followed a nose defeat to Spiced Latte, one of the favorites in here; 7 for 31 on turf and an overlay if she sticks to her morning-line price. –Byron King

Spot PlayMY SLEW (#8, 7-2) hasn’t run since he faded to 10th on this hillside course Nov. 1. Remember, though, that came vs. much tougher and maybe this guy was due for a break. He’s certainly proven sprinting on turf and with the layoff, class drop and some solid works in tow could be he’s ready to come back firing…and it doesn’t hurt that he doesn’t face the strongest bunch in the world. -Michael Hammersly

Vulnerable FavoriteYODELMESOMEMAGIC (#11, 5-2) was a super 2nd, beaten just a nose when last seen. Trouble is, ‘when last seen’ was almost 11 months ago. Also, all her work has been on synthetic so there’s a long layoff AND an introduction to new footing. That good 2nd came for $50K so there’s a significant drop and while that may mean facing softer it also means they’re now willing to part with her for less than half the price they were willing to part with her 11 months ago…and they don’t give anything away out here. -Michael Hammersly
