Race 4

Spot Play

NO EZ MONEY (#7, 3-1) had a brutal trip first out. He broke slowly from the rail, made an early move, steadied, loomed and tired. With a clean break, color him gone in a soft maiden-20. -Brad Free

Race 5

Vulnerable Favorite

LORD KITRA (#7, 5-2) has ample speed and she did break her maiden on this course at this distance last April 19. However, after 10 months off she came back here in a turf sprint, dueled and gave way readily, finishing 10th. Yes, she likely needed the race, drops today, is reunited with Talamo (who was up for her win) and may prefer this longer trip but the severity of her fade last time makes one leery about taking the short price. -Michael Hammersly

Race 6

Spot Play

No knocks on the favorites, but a live longshot is AWESOME INDY (#7, 10-1). Once capable of mid-90s Beyer Figures, he moves up after a confidence-builder claiming win. ’INDY has a chance at a price. -Brad Free

Spot Play

WILD OPTIMISM (#6, 7-2) invades from New Mexico where his connections thought enough of her to try her in 3 consecutive straight maiden evens. While those didn’t pan out she now takes the most important drop in the game for new trainer Miler, who continues his fine meet. She gets Talamo, in a race where it appears he had options, is not facing much power and has been working nicely at SLR in recent weeks. -Michael Hammersly

Race 7

Spot Play

In a turf route without other speed, ZACKOS MY MAN (#4, 8-1) has a longshot chance to steal it. He should clear, and with the turf rails at 30 feet he might keep on going. He must hold off AWESOME PROSPECT and CHRISTOPHER STREET. -Brad Free

Race 8

Spot Play

WILD OPTIMISM is the horse to beat, PAPA’S DANCING (#8, 8-1) might be the horse to bet. She benefits from a short layoff, class drop, blinkers on, and switch to aggressive rider. Expect her to show speed. -Brad Free
