Spot PlayPARADA (#3, 3-1) is certainly at her best on dirt as he 3 starts on dirt (all here) were excellent (2 wins, 1 2nd) while her other 2 starts, both on turf, weren’t very pretty. Not only does she stay on dirt today but Ellis saw fit to claim her for $12,500 as she won nicely over those rivals routing here. She’s proven sprinting, Ellis is strong off the claim and it’s most encouraging he gives her a multiple-level hike in price. -Michael Hammersly

Vulnerable FavoriteCLICKJAB (#7, 5-2) seems vulnerable not because of anything he did wrong in his May 25 debut when he finished well for 3rd down the hill, but mainly because the opposition here looks stout. And there are a couple issues – that debut came down the hill, whereas he’s routing (1 1/8 miles) today for the first time. Also, the horse who ran 2nd in front of him (Superlooper) came back to run poorly (5th) as the favorite last week, so that didn’t exactly flatter the form of that May 25 race. -Michael Hammersly
