Spot PlayLITTLE MISS S (#5, 5-2) regular stable rider Martin Garcia lands on this runner rather than the favored Baffert horse, Tiz Midnight; has upside in her second start and may have a fitness edge over the comebacking Tiz Midnight. -Byron King

Spot PlaySING WITH BLING (#2, 5-2) may be well situated for a theft. It’s the first route for this son of Malibu Moon (sire of 2013 Grade 1 Kentucky Derby winner Orb, so there’s route pedigree here). He showed fine speed in his last two sprints before finishing 4th and then 2nd. He’s been freshened by Spawr who’s having a super meet and the string of drills is most encouraging, particularly as Spawr isn’t really one to hammer down on his horses in the a.m., so if one of his horses works fast it likely did so on its own. And with his stretching-out speed he simply looks quicker early than his rivals. -Michael Hammersly

Vulnerable FavoriteHAPPYBIRTHDAYBABY (#7, 5-2) won her only prior try down the dip and has held superb form for over a year now. That being said, she may go favored here but is giving weight to some tough customers, some of whom love the hill as much or more, and does so after a layoff, too. While she did win down the hill the one time she tried it that also came vs. $40K claimers – this spot is much tougher. -Michael Hammersly
