Spot PlayANOTHER SKY (#5, 9-5) looked like a new horse the way she blasted maidens on this course May 3, proving she’s getting the hang of this and does love turf. It’s first time vs. winners here, yes, but they had entered her in a tougher spot last Saturday and scratched to go here instead. That looks like the right move. She’s run well on the lead and from off the pace, versatility which gives her rider options. -Michael Hammersly

Spot PlayWARREN'S CLIFF S (#6, 9-2) owns competitive Beyer Speed Figures and has move-up potential off the claim by trainer Steve Miyadi; blinkers-off angle is a good one for this barn. -Byron King
Vulnerable FavoriteDANCER HUMOR (#7, 5-2) ran on well for 2nd with the addition of blinkers routing on turf here May 9. But he only beat today’s foe Warren’s Cliff S. by a nose and today he gets the worst of the draw as he’s on the extreme outside while moving up in class. When he tried this trip and level here April 5 he also had an outside post (10) and was no factor, finishing 6th. He’s a better horse with blinkers to be sure, but better enough to warrant a short price? -Michael Hammersly
