Spot PlayThis N2L filly-mare claimer is a spot to take a shot with READYFORHERCLOSEUP (#3, 6-1), whose trainer Vann Belvoir has won with five of his last 12 first-off-the-claim starters in Southern California. -Brad Free

Spot PlayStretch-runner PEPPY BOLLY (#2, 9-2) is compromised by pace, but she loves this track (six starts, three wins and three seconds). Her sharp form is undisputable. -Brad Free
Spot PlayOUR PURE CREATION (#4, 9-2) is 2-5 wins & finished within 4 lengths of winner in her three losses, all of which came on turf. Lone previous dirt race produced blowout debut score & the favorites in this N1X allowance look a little shaky. - Marcus Hersh

Spot PlayCAYANNA (#4, 4-1) comes out of a claimer, yes, but the 6yo mare ran on nicely to be 4th in her first start in 10 months. Now it’s very nice to see trainer O’Neill does NOT again risk her for a tag and while she moves into allowance ranks she also faces state-breds only, so the class hike isn’t as big as it might otherwise be. She’s handled the hill well, can improve off that last run and in fact is SP down the hill vs. state-breds. A fairly quick turnaround bodes well, too. -Michael Hammersly

Race 7 |
Spot PlayLone speed ROCK AND GLORY (#7, 4-1) can be long gone in this $75k route stakes for fillies and mares. Guessing she will be bet down from her morning line. -Brad Free
Spot PlayROCK AND GLORY (#7, 4-1) is dangerous speed in a race that lacks much other serious pace. Flop coming back from year-plus break two starts ago seemingly unrelated to dirt since she won her maiden by more than 8 lengths over the SA main track. - Marcus Hersh
