WATER ISSUES (#1, 9-2) was a good 2nd vs. BOYS at this level on the BHP sod Dec. 15. She then came here for $50K, was wide and ended up 6th but Mullins saw fit to claim her for that big ticket. He put her into a stakes on this course Jan. 25 but that was a complete disaster – she had brutal post (No. 11 going a mile on this course) and then blew the start, and she was last all the way around. Well, Mullins has given her time to regroup, she’s down in class, gets a much better draw and notice Mullins keeps her in a spot where he can’t lose her via a claim. -Michael Hammersly

Vulnerable Favorite

MOULIN DE MOUGIN (#8, 5-2) likely deserves favoritism off a smart win here Feb. 9 but she hasn’t run since and is stepping up in class today to face some tough gals, many of whom have run as fast or faster including a Grade 2 winner, Grade 3 winner, state-bred stakes winner and scary GP shipper who comes here of 2 romping wins. -Michael Hammersly
