Vulnerable FavoriteDEAD EASY (#5, 3-1) opens as the ML favorite having shown talent against tougher straight maidens. Well, that’s all well and good, but that talent was shown in 2012/early 2013 and while he drops this marks his first start in over a year. So, while he showed ability against tougher that layoff is a big red flag, particularly as it comes with a significant drop. -Michael Hammersly

Spot PlayWOODMANS LUCK (#2, 7-2) moves back to his best game and that may do the trick. He was a nice 2nd going longer vs. open foes on this course March 21 and the horse he chased, Mambo Man, came back to romp in a grass stakes at TUP. He then tried dirt April 10 – not his forte – but moves back to the sod and is reunited with Nakatani who has been up for much of his best work in recent months. -Michael Hammersly
