Santa Anita: Bond Holder making progress

ARCADIA, Calif. - Bond Holder, fourth in the 2013 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, continues being treated for laminitis at a Florida veterinary clinic, trainer Doug O’Neill said Thursday.
“It’s so far, so good,” O’Neill said. “He had a good night.”

Bond Holder, who won the Grade 1 FrontRunner Stakes at Santa Anita last September, has been at the clinic for two weeks. O’Neill said the recovery process from the hoof disease will take weeks.
◗ The first juvenile race of 2013 in Southern California will be run over 4 1/2 furlongs April 25, the racing office announced. That is the first day of the track’s spring-summer meet, which is being run for the first time this year, replacing dates previously run at the now-defunct Hollywood Park.
