Santa Anita: Bejarano to stick with Silentio in Kilroe

ARCADIA, Calif. - Leading jockey Rafael Bejarano will ride Silentio in the Grade 1 Kilroe Mile on March 8.
Bejarano has won stakes aboard Silentio and Winning Prize, and both are expected to run in the Kilroe. Silentio, third in the BC Mile last November, has not raced since winning the Grade 2 Citation Handicap under Bejarano at Hollywood Park last November.
Bejarano rode Winning Prize to victory in the Grade 2 Arcadia Stakes here on Feb. 1. The Arcadia Stakes at a mile was the first start for Winning Prize since finishing third in the Citation. Trainer Neil Drysdale said on Wednesday that Joel Rosario has been booked to ride Winning Prize in the Kilroe.
Other probable starters for the Kilroe are stakes winners Lakerville, Regally Ready, Suggestive Boy, Tom’s Tribute, and Za Approval.
◗ Jockey Aaron Gryder has hired Richie Silverstein as his agent, replacing Sue McBrayer. Gryder had three wins from 47 mounts at this meeting heading into this week. Silverstein represents Martin Pedroza, who is out until the spring with injury, and Kayla Stra. McBrayer represents Brice Blanc.
◗ There is no stakes race on Sunday.
