Santa Anita $2 pick six on Sunday has two-day carryover of $99,295
For the first time this fall, there is a two-day carryover of $99,295 in the $2 pick six at Santa Anita for Sunday’s program.
The carryover was assured on Saturday when In the Tank ($20.40) won the 10th and final race.
Sunday’s pick six covers the fifth through 10th races on a 10-race program that begins at 1 p.m. Pacific.
The pool of new money in Sunday’s pick six may surpass $600,000.
The pick six races are a $30,000 claimer for fillies and mares who are nonwinners of three at a mile on turf, a $12,500 claimer for maiden California-bred fillies and mares at a mile on dirt, a maiden race at a mile on turf, a $12,500 claimer for nonwinners of two at a mile on dirt, the $100,000 California Distaff Handicap for statebred fillies and mares at about 6 1/2 furlongs on the hillside turf course, and an allowance race at 1 1/8 miles on turf.
The pick six races have maximum fields of 10, 8, 9, 10, 10 and 9.
Bit’s Tiger Magic has been withdrawn from the California Distaff Handicap.
